WRCV Inc. races at the Tooradin Trial track.  This circular track can be seen in the picture on the right.  A huge thank you to Stuart and Nicole Mills, who own Tooradin Trial Track, for their continued support of the Whippet Racing Club of Victoria.

Sprint: approx. 100m

Distance: approx 365m (almost one lap of the track)

ABOUT THE TRACK

Tooradin Trial Track is a circular track consisting of a black sand surface with a standard mechanical lure assembly. The track has excellent drainage and professional lure drivers which ensures that racing in all conditions is an exciting and fun even.  Primarily a greyhound breaking circuit, the Tooradin Trial Track has been the home of the Whippet Racing Club of Victoria for many years.

AMENITIES

There are male and female toilets on site.  There is ample parking on either side of the main assembly area as well as trackside holding pens for the dogs.  Two undercover meeting/viewing areas and a permanent canteen with bbq, cold drinks, tea and coffee makes for a fun and enjoyable race day.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Melbourne, head south via the Monash Freeway, turning onto the South Gipsland Highway.  Just out of Tooradin you will turn left into Dalmore Road.  Approx 200m down Dalmore Road will be a left turn into Harewood Mains Road.  Please note this is a dirt/gravel road, care is to be taken.

Travel almost  to the end of Harewood Mains Road and you'll turn right into the Tooradin Trial Track (sign on the road). Travel right to the end of this private property road (do not select a trial number, this is for greyhounds only),  and you'll see the circular track on  your left with the ample parking on the grass either side of the marshalling building.
